Dried Leaves as a rat repellant
Often rats gather near the door of a house and make the area dirty , which makes it difficult to enter or leave the house. Using conventional rat repellents like poisonous cakes, glue trap does not work as any visitor to the house can take these expensive rat repellants for personal use, and the rat will continue to create a menace .
An alternative is to cover the entrance of the house with dried leaves from plants and trees in the vicinity. Though most people will discard the dead leaves in the dustbin, it is found that covering the entrance with leaves can be a very effective rat repellant, as the rats tend to avoid areas which are covered with leaves.
